Hymowitz Sisters Excel in U.S. Equestrian Circles

As 2013 draws to a close, one thing can be said for sure: Cloe and Lili Hymowitz, daughters of EnTrust Capital Fund of Funds owner Gregg Hymowitz, have had an excellent year as young, successful horseback riders.

Back in January, Lili Hymowitz won the Voltaire Design Large Pony Hunter division in the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, on a ten-year-old gelding named Westside. In the multi-day competition, Hymowitz and the horse won both over fences rounds and placed second under saddle on the first day. On day two, the pair placed both first and third over fences.

But Lili’s success didn’t end there. Enjoy the Laughter, Lili’s eight-year-old German Riding Pony, took home the reserve championship title. Lili and Enjoy the Laughter won the under saddle class and jumped to two second places on day one before landing in fifth and second place for over fences on the second day. The pair was also named Rider/Owner Champion for the division.

Later in the year, sixteen-year-old Cloe won twice at the $5,000 NAL Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Classic in East Dorset, VT. She won the first Classic on Caleta, but took the win for the second time with Bon Vivant, a twelve-year-old Belgian Warmblood owned by Rose Hill Farms. The pair edged edged out 26 other riders and their horses for the prize. After the win, Cloe expressed praise for Bon Vivant, saying “he’s one of the most amazing horses to ride” and complimented the course designer, 1984 Olympic team gold and individual silver medalist Conrad Homfeld.
